The truth is Hatton lost badly because he showed no improvements and because of this Roach's gameplan for Manny worked perfectly. But Hatton had the power to hurt Pac and could hit him, so IMO with the improvements that we were expecting he would have a chance of KO'ing Pac.

I'm not denying who was better on the night, as Manny was better by far obviously. I just stand by my original thought that a defensively and technically better Hatton would have a good chance of beating Pac.
If Hatton was a better fighter he could beat Manny Pacquiao, is what you are saying in a nutshell. Hatton fought like he always did. Hatton was being Hatton. If Pacquiao were stronger he could beat David Haye. But Pac will be Pac and Pac follows a game plan and improves every fight. Ricky has not shown the ability to do so. Is Pac the better fighter because Pac is Pac and Ricky is Ricky? By far, yes. That is why Pac is no.1

Exactly, I completely agree. All I was saying was, Hatton was promising all these improvements and I believe that if he did show up with them, he would have a good chance of beating Pac. The fact is he didn't and he paid for it dearly.
