          Watch much boxing?

Many greats have more than 2 losses on their records...

also that's the type of question that can't be determined based on W/L...it depends on HOW he loses

It depends on how bad he would lose to Clottey. The overrated Mexican hype job cheater Margarito beat up Cotto pretty bad. And we all know he could have easily had rocks in his gloves. So how much more will Cotto have left in the tank if he takes a bad beating from Clottey?

Normally really great fighters don't take too many beatings. Especially not even 30 yet like Cotto is.

Clottey is no easy task for any one. Losing to him is not the end for anyone.

It would be very tough to recover from.

There's always the Alfonso Gomez's and the Michael Jennings for him to look good against and he can win vacant belts and become a star again. A Clottey loss won't be the end, imo.

He could continue fighting, but he would no longer be considered an elite fighter.
