Is prime only determined by age or how long you've been fighting?

Do you believe someone's PRIME depends on when they started fighting or entirely on age? Or a bit of both?
Bernard Hopkins was 36 when he beat Trinidad. People regard around those years his prime...at 36? Antonio Tarver knocked out Roy at age 36 and was considered in his prime...Floyd Mayweather started boxing in his early teens(not pro) and he's in his early 30's now. He's still prime?

Do you think prime has anything to do with age, or just when u started fighting, or are those guys exceptions? Watcha think?

Prime is when you are at your best and fighters vary depending on many things no one thing decides your prime .

Well Roy was still considered at the top of his game when Tarver KOed him. Was he prime or not in his prime?

Pretty much when you're at your best in terms of talent and fighting on a high level vs the best WIN OR LOSE

Pacman because competing at a high level vs Barrera...you might say that his prime began around that time and the Barrera fight was the showcase of it...

I'd say he is still in his prime until he begins slowing down...and you can show effects of slowing out of your prime, even while winning...if Manny lost to Floyd later this year...that wouldn't all of a sudden be the end of Manny's prime...it depends on what he shows after it...

Its a odd one Mosley got one of his greatest wins recently probably securing his atg status yet he is hardly in his prime either, same with bhop-Pavlik. Lewis was at his best mind 30's imo, tbh i cant really explain it but i think tyrant probably sums it up best.

But i guess you could you say Mosley was in his prime after Dela Hoya fights untill his losses to Winky or Verno cant remeber which was first ><

Exactly. Hearns, Leonard, Hagler, and Duran were all in their respective primes when they all fought each other. Some win some lose its just the name of the game. People treat fighters like toys on this forum, throwing them away when they no longer have the luster of being unbeatable. Of course some fighters become damaged goods after a loss but still there are those few that become even better than what they were after a loss.
