judah has skills, but he doesn't possess floyd's mindset and discipline in the ring, that's what seperates them...floyd countered judah a lot in his body...that's adjustment and smart fighting...judah usuall doesn't fight smart... Physically, he is up there with floyd...mentally, no way in hell, and skills are put into action effectively with smart thinking...floyd masters this beautifully...floyd also does so many things better than judah--i'm sure i'll touch on it soon...

we can't all cheer for clowns

I guess you would probably say Margarito, Miranda and Mayorga take the cake in terms of skills, right?

      lol go watch MMA idiot
I have no idea what you are talking about. But that's OK because even you don't know what you're talking about. Why would anyone choose Mayorga, Margo and Miranda over Floyd? Why would I even think of watching MMA? I hate that ****.

      ?

What are you talking about? Let me guess... you just woke up and haven't quite come to your senses? Do you even have any senses? I mean, you were convinced that Jeff Lacy would knock Calzaghe out a few years back, so I guess the answer is most likely "no".

      Correct?

Its gotten to the point where you guys can even boast about how he dominates the best competitiion so you have to make threads compensating asking who is the most skilled. Its ridiculous.

Its amazing that the fighter with the most skills p4p today doesnt doesn't have any threads from his fans discussing how dominant he is over today's quality opposition.

We havent and prolly wont see any..

" who in boxing today has fought the better competition than floyd overall?"

that question right there is far more important than the one asked in this thread.

Its these kinds of threads that fuel the criticism of floyd because you want everyone else to accept his greatness with no question or skepticism without proving himself.

        *shakes head*
you see, that's why i make threads like this...because instead of answering the question like people should, you'd rather ***** about my thread, yet you'll answer a question somebody who hates floyd asks, and you'll answer it fully...if you don't like my thread and want to give a speech about it, then make your own thread...i asked a simple question and you couldn't even answer it....not surprised at all, which is why i really don't care how you feel...

I'm so baffled by this weird post that I had to reply twice. Who are you referring to in the quote above?

were you the one that said Victorian Sosa had a better chance to beat Floyd than Roberto Duran did?

            just curious.

Floyd is best unison of technique, physicality and mentality around

and he wouldn't be out of place in a discussion of the most complete boxers ever. poetry in motion

How can a Victorian sofa beat anyone? Look. It doesn't seem even slightly threatening.

Defense-floyd, although he does tend to use elbows but not always. The runner up would be bhop and he makes floyd look like a choir boy as far as cheating.

Footwork- im not sure. There is defensive footwork(not slipping or getting kd'd due to balance) and offensive footwork. For defensive footwork i have to say james toney. I would've said hatton for offensive footwork but i'll give it to pac.

Upperbody movement- joe calzaghe. I don't think he is really retired and he attacks at some crazy angles lol.

Body positioning- not sure what this means, if you mean not standing square then thats footwork. See footwork.

                      Speed- manny pacquiao

power- p4p, edwin valero. He looks like the second coming of naseem hamed power-wise.

                      Ring generalship- juan diaz.

thank you for an actual response to my thread, unlike th ecrybaby 2501 came back with...i respect your answer, but still overall, when you combine all of that, floyd is still the most skilled fighter out there, especially of this era...yes, there are fighters who have more power and speed than him, who throw more combos than he does at this stage i his career, but overall, with how he puts all of this together, no fighter out there, or at least who i've seen, matches this man...he can use his opponent's speed, power, and pace against them, which he has done...he can punch through combinations like he did with oscar in round five and offset his opponent's combos...that is a brilliant fighter for you...

On top of this--he does all of this very smooth, fluent, and he throws really no sloppy punches..that takes heavy discipline and conditioning, so i know he works on the body parts needed for this much muscle usage...he feints a lot also...this is effective countering and leading with punches...floyd does it all man...i have to say it again---he counterpunches off of the block better than any fighter i have ever seen with the exception of floyd patterson...throws beautiful punches...fast, accurate, complex, dynamic, unorthodox at times, elusive, smooth, fluent, brilliant, methodical...this is all floyd mayweather jr...
