Who in boxing today has more overall skills than floyd?

Taking everything into account--who has more overall skills than floyd does? Think about it---

here is how i determine skills

    accuracy
    smooth punching(lead punches or counterpunches)

defense-(blocking, slipping, dodging punches, fighting/defending off of the ropes)

    footwork

    upperbody movement

    body positioning

    speed

    power

    ring generalship

    timing

training methods i consider also---padwork, jumrope routine, heavybag training, double-end bagwork, sparring, etc.

All in all--the answer is simple really--nobody---not even close

Not everybody thinks skills = rushing in with no defense and blocking punches with your face and throwing wide, looping punches

we can't all cheer for clowns

I guess you would probably say Margarito, Miranda and Mayorga take the cake in terms of skills, right?

        lol go watch MMA idiot

what does it matter if these skills aren't put to the test? If they aren't fully challenged?

Its gotten to the point where you guys can even boast about how he dominates the best competitiion so you have to make threads compensating asking who is the most skilled. Its ridiculous.

Its AMAZING that the fighter with the most skills p4p today doesnt doesn't have any threads from his fans discussing how dominant he is over today's quality opposition.

We HAVENT and prolly wont see any..

" Who in boxing today has fought the better competition than Floyd overall?"

THAT question right there is far more important than the one asked in this thread.

Its THESE kinds of threads that fuel the criticism of Floyd because you want everyone else to accept his greatness with no question or skepticism without proving himself.

                *shakes head*

accuracy: Floyd or Bhop. I'll give the nod to Floyd because judges tend to give him the benefit of the doubt on borderline-scorable punches more often than Bhop, and part of boxing is playing to the judges.

defense-Floyd, although he does tend to use elbows but not always. The runner up would be Bhop and he makes Floyd look like a Choir Boy as far as cheating.

footwork- Im not sure. There is defensive footwork(not slipping or getting KD'd due to balance) and Offensive footwork. For defensive footwork I have to say James Toney. I would've said Hatton for offensive footwork but I'll give it to Pac.

upperbody movement- Joe Calzaghe. I don't think he is REALLY retired and he attacks at some crazy angles lol.

body positioning- not sure what this means, if you mean not standing square then thats footwork. See footwork.

                    speed- Manny Pacquiao

power- p4p, Edwin Valero. He looks like the second coming of Naseem Hamed power-wise.

                    ring generalship- Juan Diaz.

                    timing- Juan Manuel Marquez
