Someone posted the Ring ratings on your other thread.
Castillo was ranked in the top 10 when Ricky signed to fight him, however he was bumped out after Cotto beat Judah I believe which was just before the Hatton fight.
So technically he wasnt in the top 10 (he was 11th lol) on the actual night Ricky fought him. So no one made anything up and Ricky was serious.
End thread.

That site is amazing, bookmarking that ****.
Castillo was rated at #9 P4P Period Ended January 9, 2007.
http://web.archive.org/web/200701180.../ratings2.html
Castillo then "arguably lost" against a bum on January 20, 2007.
The ratings for Janurary 22, 2007 then show this
http://web.archive.org/web/200701282.../ratings2.html
Castillo has been removed and replaced by Miguel Cotto (Cotto hadn't even fought).
I thought you said "The Ring" had Castillo rated in their Top 10 when Hatton signed to fight him.
Wrong.

Is an article from 10 February 2007, Hatton is yet to sign Castillo fight.
The ratings for Janurary 22, 2007

Castillo is not rated P4P Top 10.

Yes well done, you "owned" me. Hatton and Castillo were never meant to fight, they just randomly fought on the same bill. Ricky was also not gonna fight Malignaggi, they just randomly fought on the same bill in Manchester.
Theres no way Castillo was anywhere near the top 10 at the Ring, I just made that up (even though he was there in jan 2007).
