Because it depends on the fighter.

And there are plenty of times where fighters have never been the same again after a beating.

Jeff Lacy is one. Look at antonio margarito vs cotto, then look at him against mosley.

Some fighters dont even need to get knocked out, a war can be enough to age them quite a bit.

Khan has to beat Kotelnik first. Not a foregone conclusion.

How long have you been following boxing? Matter of fact, sports in general? Money is the point. That paper will make friends fight friends, etc. I don't give a **** if they already have money, they want more. For Hatton, the WBA strap would just be a front and icing on the cake. For Khan, it would make him the most popular fighter where he's from and add to his rep.

1-jeff lacy never got KTFO. he got beaten with volume punches. He was gradually broken down physically.

2-Margarito never got KTFO. He won vs cotto & got KTFO by a better fighter. He didnt get tagged with one punch by mosley & went out. He got KTFO by a accumulative of heavy punches.

Im talking about the douches who speak about punch resistance after getting put to sleep by by one punch like khan w/ prescott & hatton w/ fraud jr & pacquiao.

Thats where my argument is. Not by fighter who got broken down physically.

I hate motha****as that come and talk **** about something that has nothing to do with the article/but since u wanna talk about punch resistance id tell you first hand as im a amateur boxer myself/I know that over time all those punches catch up to you/Its almost like the video game says/one clean punch from victory/if u have neva been knocked the **** out/you're gonna fight like you have neva been knocked the **** out/especially as a young fighter/your chin is still fresh/After you have had 47 fights in the pros along with countless amateur and sparring sessions/your chin is not gonna be the same as it was prior/if you get caught cleanly by someone that has decent power while you in the mist of swinging/its a good chance you hittin the deck/it just so happens that probability goes up the more times you have been hit through out your career/as for your little religion statement/some people believe/some people dont/somebody is gonna be right and somebody isnt/bottomline is you sound like a fool bashing something because you dont believe in it/

Hatton vs. Pacquiao and Mayweather were thorough beatdowns until the KO, not just one punch knockouts. Hatton's punch resistance is gone because of a combination of things, but mainly the ****ty way he treats his body. Going up to 180 to go back down to 140 as a cycle catches up to everyone who does it, just ask Morales and Castillo.
