exactly..... Hatton felt no threat from Malignaggi's power, so he didnt do as much of the clutching and mauling routine he had come to rely on in previous fights. Also, Malignaggi runs hot and cold, and Hatton caught him on a bad night (for the record Hatton still would have beat him on an "on" night).
How would the Hatton that beat Kostya have done against Pacman?

Yeah I know, it's just that he's had almost no fights at this weight lol
I could say that he never destroyed Morales or Barrera with one shot but that was at a lower weight and they both have Jay Leno chins.
I just don't think he has the power to do that to a healthy Hatton.
*Jay Leno was the guy who said bad things/bad jokes when Filipino Soldiers decided to pull-out from Iraq to save an innocent civillian's life.Last edited by Puntoyhauf; 05-17-2009, 07:03 AM.Comment

Actually, that fight was the start of it....Comment

It would have been the mauling and the excesive hugging and hitting that PACMAN would have had a problem with, kind of like when Duran brought it to Ray Leonard. Duran was just all over Ray that night.
Of course none of this is neither here nor there now. Roach would have still exposed Hatton and it would have taken Manny a little longer due to the hugging and mauling.
But the fight we saw three weeks ago, Roach knew it would be the same old Hatton and he anticipated it. Roach did not get fooled into to thinking we would see a new and improved Hatton. A leopard cant change his spots, nor a tiger his stripes.Last edited by Google_It_Bitch; 05-17-2009, 07:17 AM.Comment

Kostya is more powerful obviously but it was the combinations and speed that killed Hatton. Pacquiao would be alot more slippery than Kostya aswell and not allow Hatton to use his hit and hold tactics. Pacquiao TKO 9Comment
