i was here through most of those threads, some of them have me in them, honestly, thats why i dont bring up stuff like

"people thought baldomir had a shot"

"people thought gatti landing on mayweather would be curtains"

"people thought de la hoya would knock mayweather out"

all the wins nobody cares about had weight back then.

i have. i remember when mayweather was the most underrated fighter here. the difference between now and then is that the board is alot bigger, but its mostly the same. i think though, there are alot more newer fans, particularly of pac and cotto, because those are newer fighters from the last 8 years to be on the rise. but i was reading this place ALOT before i joined. As you can see, i dont really post that often. sometimes i go months without viewing this place, but when there is a fight of interest, i come back.

Yep thats exactly what it is. I remember watching the hbo countdown for Gatti-Mayweather and the verdict from the top boxing analysts was either Floyd runs away with a UD decision, or Gatti stops him with a body shot.

Then suddenly a couple of months after Floyd demolished him, some of the guys came out saying Gatti shouldnt had got in the ring with him. The same went with general boxing fans.
