Andre Ward is no doubt the more skilled and faster boxer. At the end of the day he's overall a much better boxer BUT he hasn't done anything that would make me think he's the "stronger" man. I'm pretty sure Miranda is the physically stronger man in the ring.
I do hope Ward wins cause I believe and hope he has what it takes to become a great boxer in the future. He's not even in his prime yet and can still improve, He definitely has a lot of potential. Miranda is a tough motha****a though and can end the fight with one punch so Ward needs to be careful and focused during the entire fight. It's a big step up so let's see how he deals with a powerful Colombian who comes to take his head off....It should be a very interesting fight to watch.Comment

Miranda was never a titlist. He was a good contender, but he was always second tier...just with a lot of power. He's dropped off of that slightly. Jerson Ravelo and Sugar Poo Buchanan aren't that far below Miranda in terms of ability. Plus, with Miranda you always have to worry about what happens when he fights someone who's quicker and bigger than him (I have little doubt that Ward is as strong as Miranda, but not everyone is convinced).
Miranda doesn't know how to survive. He's a come forward slugger. He's prone to get KO'd just because he'll walk into a trap. Ward is a master of setting those traps. I just don't see Miranda going the distance tonight.Comment

@javelin_fangs
You think Ward is both Bigger and stronger.....What makes you think that? It's pretty obvious to me that Miranda is both physically bigger and stronger than Ward.Comment

Even if Ward wins this fight tonight convincingly I won't be totally sold on him. We all know that Miranda doesn't have the best punch resistance despite his own power. I'll need to see Ward in with a guy that can take it out and dish it like Andrade and Bika. Even though those two guys are just as or even more crude than Miranda they are a lot more sturdy and put a ****load of pressure on you.Comment

I noticed that some of you don't respect anyone until they beat names. You only respect names instead of skill. You clearly didn't notice Ward had improved dramatically by the time he fought Francisco Diaz, Rubin Williams, Jerson Ravelo and Sugar Poo Buchanan. It is what it is.
I know that most people on here expect Ward to win, but I've been surprised to read Miranda and some people on these boards thinking that Ward was going to "run away" from Miranda. If Miranda is expecting Ward to "run away" from him then he's going to get KO'd in the first half of the fight.
Andre Ward is not only more skilled than Miranda, but he's a rough and rugged fighter who's also bigger, stronger and faster than Miranda. When Miranda and the Ward naysayers see what happens tonight they'll be very surprised at how wrong their impression of Ward actually is.
I thought there was a lot of promise in what I've seen of Ward so far, so half of me didn't want to see him set back. The other half didn't want to see the title aspirations of a fighter I love rooting for put to bed.
But I expected Ward would probably UD Miranda.
Gonna go hit the Block and see if there's a download of this.Comment
