He could shake him up and Manny is a good finnisher so it COULD be all she wrote!

BUT if Miguel has nearly as much power as he does at 147 then if HE catches MANNY then it might well be over!

I'd feel that way about every boxer asking for a catch weight to get an easy win over a drained fighter.

Remember that movie Gladiator where The Emperor(Joaquin Phoenix) said he would fight Marcus Arelius(Russell Crow) but before the fight he stabed him in the gut to make it an "even" fight.

I bet you loved that bit.
So youre saying that Manny gets an easy win over Miguel at a catch weight of 144?

I'm saying that that's what Freddi Roach is obviously trying to do.

Put an opponent at a disadvantage by using the scales as a weapon before he even gets into the ring.

It's smart....but not indicative of true warrior spirit I feel Manny Pacquiao is all about.

Miguel is the one willing to go to 144.

Manny and Freddie are not forcing him to do it.

          It's Miguel's decision.

And it's only fair cuz Miguel is much larger than Manny.

First of all, Cotto is a very tough fight for Pacman, probably the toughest fight he will ever have, be it at 143 or 147. I believe Cotto SHOULD be the heavy favorite, but since Pacman has converted a lot of non-believers lately that could tilt the odds a bit, Cotto will still be the slight favorite.

Second, Pacman will not fight the same way he fought Hatton, it will be more like the De La Hoya fight. Pacman's mentality is when he sees a man who approximates his own size on the other side the corner, he has no qualms going to war with you. He doesn't mind getting hit as long as he can put his own licks in, may the sturdier chin, and the more powerful puncher win. If he is against bigger opponents, who's more resilient to his power punches (due to size, although this is unproven) and hits way harder than his contemporaries, he will try to box in and get out quickly, soften them up a bit, tire them and frustrate them and set them up in the later rounds, just like what he did against David Diaz.

And lastly, there's more money to be made against Floyd, unfortunately, because this fight will have more action than a Mayweather fight.

It will definitely be a fight fan's fight...

Money makes people do strange things.

I did read an article where he said he was willing to move down...But he's still got a fight with Clottey before the fight with pac even becomes a feasible reality....So since no contract has been signed...we can wait and see what the final weight will be...if there even is a weight or a fight between the too...If the fight can't be made because of weight issues that would make my day...I'm with a smaller contingent of MAC fans that would rather see a Mosley rematch...I like when WW's fight WW thats just me though.

You're a complete idiot. There is no point in arguing with you. It would be a waste of our time.
