This ent exactly a brain teaser.......

Cotto vs Pac means Arum gets around 15-20% from Pac and 15-20% from Cotto.

He'll, personally, get the lion share of the money.

one: same promo company means more money to it
two: Cotto is displeased with top rank, a big money fight like this might
persuade him to renew his contract.
no new contract, no big money fight.
three: Mayweather wont do business with Arum.. Arum wont do business with
        Al Haymon.
four: Cotto wont ask for as much of the cut as Mayweather will, therefor Pacquiao
gets more money.. that means no money despute between the fighters.

these four reasons are why the fight makes sense to Arum and why it will more then likely happen.
if Mayweather wouldn't have been such a drama queen with Arum in the past then he would have been first in line for a crack at Pacman.
now, Cotto will beat him and as a result his fans boys wont be able to claim he's the greatest of all time because he beat a blown up super featherweight..
        sucks for y'all.

Im not sure, first of all tho if a fight is that big and there to be made a guy promoting both of the fighters shouldnt stop it happening - thats bad for boxing.

Heres the facts, Cotto has fallen out with Bob and wants to leave

Pac on the other hand is looking at 1 or 2 more fights before retireing

Now im not sure if Arum is trying to sweeten Cotto up with a big money fight and mabey even an extended contract clause OR if he thinks **** u i'll get Manny to KO u and then u can go where u bloody want! OR if he is thinking both guys will be gone soon so **** it just cash in now!

            Hard to call

true, but the thing he that fight might have ruined cotto and the investment in margo in hindsight seems like a failure due to the plaster.

Since Pac now has inflated his head to the point where he wont fight for less than $10 million (which means only 1 or 2 more fights can realistically be made), Cotto now has more long-term upside for Bob than Manny does, and Bob can use a Pac payday to get Cotto to resign. When you have both sides of a fight, no matter who wins, you win.

Don't get me wrong I like Arum but, bottom line is promoters don't really give a **** about anybody but themselves Period!!!!! Yeah they have fighters and you would think they would try and protect them but, deep down inside they care about that MONEY (and not mayweather) and themselves. Fighters come and go and no one stays on top forever ( meaning they either suck, just ok, P4P champion, or if they are on top they retire!!!) Say what you want but $$$$$$$$ is Name and to get it Boxing it out is the game!!!!
