Pacquiao to Retire? DAN RAFAEL says "NO CHANCE!"

Jeff (New York): Dan, have you heard that Pacquiao has said he might very well retire after his October fight? Promotional ploy or is he 100% serious?!

SportsNation Dan Rafael: (12:16 PM ET ) I've heard some of that nonsense. NO CHANCE of that happening. NONE.

He wants to join politics, he wants to become the president of his country, so really if he wants to retire now would be a good chance of joining up and having a very good following for a long career in that, i don't think he should retire but if thats what he wants to do let him, boxing will miss him though!

hey, im all for him retiring and trying to become president. If he does become president in 10 years, that would be great for boxing. To have a former fighter be the PRESIDENT of a country would kill a lot of boxer stereotypes.

But i also think he has so much left to give to boxing IN THE RING, that he should give it at LEAST another year or 2

Being president is not like playing a video game, boxing or going for a job.

              It's a 24 hour job.

First question is; is he actually intelligent enough to do the job?

              Can he speak well enough?

              Can he debate well?

              Is he persuasive enough?

Will be actually be able to EFFECTIVELY run the country's politics, economics, education system, health system, the military?

These are the neccesary things a Premier of a country is required to do.

It's all well and good being popular but can he actually do the job or will be just be a puppet president owned and controlled by banks and massive institutions?

I sure hope he doesn't, he brings a lot to the world of boxing. Would be a shame if he left.

does it matter if hes smart enough. name a smart filipino president that actually stirred the country in the right direction. one thing i know if he does become president is that he wont be corrupt like the others since he has tons of cash already

Well people won't let sentiment get in the way of a good life, now will they?

                    People want and expect CHANGE.
