The decade isn't even over yet, why such a need to jump the gun like The Ring and these other overenthusiastic fools? I swear sometimes it seems boxing is more about rankings than actual fights.

Either JMM or Pacquiao IMO...or Paul Williams...but PW is still a youngster.

boxing is about fights AND rankings.

this is a boxing forum, what do you think goes on here exactly? ppl discuss their rankings and opinions on boxing. don't like it? move on.

These are arguably the most important months of the entire decade. If the decade were to end tomorrow, I think you could make cases for Hopkins and Pacquiao. I would say Floyd but to be fair he has missed two years and I guess people give Pac more credit for moving through the weight classes because he did it over a short period of time rather than letting his body grow into the weight more. Either way the next seven months are key. If Hopkins beats Adamek then he would get my vote and I guess if he were try he could fight twice this year. Froch and Adamek and I think he wins it. Then obviously we have the Mayweather Pacquiao fight where if Mayweather wins you can't place Pacquiao higher than him and you have a choice between Hopkins and Mayweather. If Pacquiao beat Mayweather there is no doubt he is fighter of the decade. BUT if Marquez beats Mayweather let alobe Pacquiao as well there is no doubt in my ind that he would be fighter of the decade

Glad that you completely ignored the primary point that the decade isn't over. These threads have been made a million times since Pacquiao-Hatton, largely with the purpose of singing the praises of Pacquiao. Here's a novel idea - why don't we wait until the essential fights have happened before pointlessly deciding things in advance?
