Not saying I disagree with your assessment, I don't, but ten seconds from the end, or ten from the start Taylor was beaten; more so than by any scorecard decision.
Froch has the heart, determination, consistency but that wont help him beat top fighters consistently. It worked against Taylor because of Taylor's poor stamina issues. Taylor only beat Hopkins because his stamina was not tested.

Froch does have a chance to surpass Calzaghe IMO but he wouldnt because he isnt skilled enough to do it, He has all the right names in around his division something Joe C didnt have when he was the Man at SMW.

Joe struggled to find decent names until people like Lacy and Kessler came along, Froch has big names like Dawson,Green,Miranda,AA,Bute,Kessler,Andrade etc so if he gets to take most of this fighters on and beat them then he would have done better than Joe C imo.

I don't think he has the skills to get close.

Obviously, if he did remain unbeaten between now and the end of his career he would blow Joe C out-of-the-water, but he won't.

Froch is a straight-up hardman, with big heart, good stamina and an iron will. I guess that will take you a long way in any combat sport but sooner or later there will be a guy that will have the same intangibles and Froch will have to match them for skills.

Seriously though, Froch is the only fighter I know that you can't make a bad fight for at the moment.

Froch will end up in a coma if he faces Kessler, his defence is on par with Gatti.

If he beats the best of the division he will easily surpass Calzaghe, no discussion needed - But can he do that? I don't think so, unless he is able to learn from he's fights. He can't beat a Kessler by holding his hands down like that. He can't beat a Hopkins. He can't beat a Dawson. That's what I see. But hell, let's see, He got a pretty cool style, and I consider him a very exciting fighter and I love his determination, let's give this man a chance. He definitely has the right mindset, he can become a true boxing champion.

Froch does have balls to go travel anywhere to fight anyone, but at the end of his career once he's been knocked out once or twice and lost a few UD's, Calzaghe's legacy will be better.
