Skills v.s. Resume....whats a better indicator how good a fighter truly is

This has probably been done before......lets do it again...........whats the litmus paper...........of how good a fighter really is....................poll to follow...............give your reason.......why........i vote resume.........skills is way subjective.........imo..........choose just one..........we know both are important....................

Both should receive consideration, but resume is more important.

Skill and resume coincide. You can not go anywhere on skill alone, and you probably can not obtain an outstanding resume if you are lacking skill.

If you are lumping physical attributes in with skills then yeah, fair enough. Skills can be restricted to technical skill though, in which case Roy doesn't hold up to well against other ATGs IMO.

Roy Jones is a special case. He did things wrong and got away with it because of his extraordinary athletic ability, but don't kid yourself into thinking he didn't have very good skills.

He had a long successful amateur career and had plenty of skill.

Resume is how you prove your gr8ness as a fighter. A lotta guys have hellaskills but don't accomplish ****. Obviously skills contributes to success, but it ain't the be all end all. You can beat good fighters wit sheer KO power and volume punchin and build a legendary res. The best man (skill wise) don't always win in boxing.
