What has Pavlik done since winning the Undisputed MW Title?

II really can't blame him for backing out of the Mora fight. I mean Mora has an akward style for Kelly. In my mind Mora would give Kelly problems. Kelly is right not to take this fight it means nothing and he could lose everything to a no body from the contender show. I think he needs to fight AA, Sturm or P Will and win by KO. In order to gain back some repsect and confidence from himself and his fans. Critics and fans alike all gave JT alot of crap for who he beat after becoming UNDISPUTED MW CHAMP. We talked about him not knocking anyone out and winning some ugly fights...But think about it JT had 4 title deffenses against

    Hopkins - Top P4P
    Wright - Top P4P
    Ouma
    C Spinks - Former 154 title holder

Pavlik has only defended his title two times since winning it yes right two times. The second fight against Jt was at a catch weight of 166 and the fight against Hopkins was at 170...Remember his corner man telling him your only losing the fight not the titles...That was sickining to hear

Lockett - A nobody from the Enzo Calzaghe camp
Rubio - A tune up after a loss to B Hop

So after winning the 160lb title he is 3-1 and 2 of those wins are against no bodies. Guys we could do with out ever seeing in the boxing ring again much less seeing them fighting for the undisputed MW championship right? Even in his fight the 2nd one against JT it was close.

So really Kelly the only ghost was have seen is a ghost of what you were beofre winning the MW championship. You gave JT alot of crap on your way up but in truth JT never ducked no one and who have you fought since winning the MW titles?

In closing I will say this watching Kelly on his way up knocking out guys like Edison Miranda and then JT was very exciting. I was defintely a fan and I still am but to be honest and speak truly I have yet to see him do the things I expected him to do once he got the titles. I know you worked hard for them Kelly and it was not an easy road but come on and fight someone deserving of a title shot....Lefty

It is Arum rounding up these opponents for him. I mean Lockett and Rubio were mandatories, and Rubio was at least a legit top 10 contender guy.

Pavlik's team did not like Mora as they just felt he was undeserving. I think they want the Abraham's, but Arum is just not serving them up.

Arum now has him on the Chavez Jr low ball PPV setup that I don;t think they like. Arum is offering them sub par fights and HBO is not biting.

IMO, as much as I love Kelly's aggressive style and power, I don't see him reigning long. His style is very basic, he doesn't do much of anything great, but he's just a tough guy. He basically won it based out of his toughness. He showed it greatly against Miranda and then when it mattered most against Taylor. I don't think he's gonna keep the same toughness or mental hunger for much longer. He's the type that comes and goes, but had an exciting and fan friendly style while it lasted. I'll still watch whatever bouts he has in the future as long as he does go at it.

Well he hasn't done **** except beat Lockett....he did just win it though. Fighting Mora wudda done nothing for him. Abraham is where its at, or Sturm.

You have to factor in 160 being a pretty weak division right now as well though.

Listen Arum or no Arum the question wasn't why he is upset with his promoter and why he backed out of the Mora fight it was what has he done since winning the MW titles....Lefty

He might be upset with his promoter. You think he should automatically run to the press if he is? If they do not like Mora as an opponent, they probably told the Brass at Top Rank, but he would still take the fight for the payday if nothing else was offered.

As I said earlier, I think there is friction going on between Top Rank and Pavlik's Team to some extent. Some serious lack of communication is going on and over the next few days we might see more come out on the subject.

So you think the fact that he fought no one and has two title deffeses against tomatoe can 1 and tomatoe can 2 is because Arum forced him there against the both of them,? I mean you think Arum twisted his arm to take the B Hop fight or the 4 million he made was the bigger reason why he took that fight. With little to no risk because it was like an exibition fight since he still had the titles and all after wards. then this stiff Rubio who did nothing for the first 4 or 5 rounds but stand there and get hit was a joke. Lockett well maybe he took that fight as a icebreaker with the Calzaghe camp to try to get a fight with Joe. Sort of like well you want to fight Joe first you got to put a little money in my pocket and give Lockett a shot. Yeah joke is on the fans. Point I am trying to make is we all gave JT crap for not fighting anyone after winning the titles but who has Kelly fought and don't give me this promoter BS either...Lefty

He pulled out of the Mora fight? That sucks its an intresting match up because of Moras awkwardness even though I thought Pavlik would be able to stop Mora. I thought Pavlik wanted to prove something with the Mora fight by showing people he wants it more then his opponent.

                    COSIGN!

They are acting like his confidence is completely shot. The "latin Snake" (besides being the gayest nickname ever), is a good fit for Kelly. He can fight a boxer who couldn't hurt him if he had horseshoes in his gloves. This would be good work for Pavlik and would be his last fight before he HAS to fight King Arthur or risk being called another Duck.
