When I stayed with my dad. When I was just a kid I remember we use to get together (the whole family including uncles, aunts, cousins etc) and watch all the big name fighters of the time. I just remember everyone in my family use to go crazy for Prime Mike Tyson Fights.....I remember being 4 and 5 and their being 30-50 something people all packed in the living room watching Mike fight. Just the whole feel from that and how involved everyone was got me into watching boxing.

Next one of the main guys that kept me interested is Prince Naseem Hamed. He brought so much swag and charisma to the game...and even tho most people didnt like him and even were glad he lost to barrera I didnt even care and would pay money to have another guy like him in the sport of boxing.

Somewhere in 1989 or 1990 when I was like 4 or 5 years old. I remember watching fights with my dad and wasn't very interested until I saw a Pernell Whitaker fight. So then he showed me some older fights, classics from the 70s and just about every Ray Leonard fight we could get our hands on. Once I started watching the two of them the rest was history. A few years later I started watching just about everything on TV. Been a love fest ever since.

I started to follow boxing in mid 2007 but I began to be interested in 2006. It wasn't any fight in particular. The fact that 2 men fight for 12 rounds made me respect boxers. Men have died in this sport. Boxers have some guts. Knowing they can lose their lives they still step into that ring and put up a good fight.

After that I started waching boxing matches on TV, then I began to read on famous boxers and why they are loved by fans and remain unforgotten.

Then early this year I joined a boxing club.

My love and knowledge of boxing keeps increasing as each day goes by.

I learn the sweet science at the boxing gym.

As I follow boxing more I get to learn about new boxers and as I read autobiographies about boxers of the past I learn why they are remembered as ATG and loved by die hard fans.
