Calzaghe never tried to beat a p4p fighter in his prime. To be fair he didn't have many, he had young Jones and Bernard and for some reason they never fought in their primes.

Calzaghe tried to get those fights, esp. Hopkins, but he wasn't a big enough name to get those sort of fights until he'd beaten Lacy. See my sig.
