LOVE HIM OR HATE HIM...IT DOES NOT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE.

We were able to witness a boxing history...
that...for me... is satisfying enough as a boxing fan.

I felt bad that I was not born yet when SRR was reigning, when Henry Armstrong dominated, or The Thrilla in Manila.

I was lucky enough to see the youngest HW champ in Mike Tyson, Roberto Duran's last fight, SRL's last fight, Oscar Dela Hoya's rising...
and now Pacquiao a rare kind of a fighter... who also prays for his opponent's safety.

I'm content with boxing right now.

(I forgot to mention Tyson doing a "Hannibal Lectar" on Holyfield's ear...LOL!)

I can't hate Pac. He has shown a real life success out of nothing but hard work and unique skill. Many of us are too young and/or are not deprived of anything... but he had to work to get them. So unless we've been on his shoes we can't say we know enough to hate him.

All those supposedly bad things mentioned about his life outside boxing he'd look like a saint compared to others, especially knowing where he is from. Ignorance, arrogance, and envy is all we need for us to say we hate a guy without knowing him personally.

I'm not sure what isn't to like about Pacquiao. He's a nice guy and fights like the Tasmanian devil. I've never seen one unlikeable characteristic displayed by Pacquiao.

I enjoy watching him fight. I think it's unfortunate that he seems to be surrounded by an entourage consisting of no small number of leeches. I wouldn't call myself a true fan of either Pacquiao or JMM, but I respect them as fighters and certainly follow any bouts they happen to be in.
