Many people dislike him because of the race like one of my fellow in the army said. "I can't believe any asian can pull of something like that (after destroying hatton)" Its hard to accept that any asian can dominate the middle weight class that in history only western fighters dominate. But lets accept it the filipino is a real deal. The guy born to be a prize fighter.

I live in an army base here in russia. We love filipinos here those guys love to drink very respectful persons. So it should'nt be an issue. Im just saying the boxing peoples point of view in general most old timers are'nt used to having asians dominating the middleweight classes.

I never liked the guy as a fighter until about the second JMM fight and was fully aboard the bandwagon by the end of the Diaz fight, now that ive seen the guy on 24/7's and **** he is cool as phuck in my opinion, genourous, humble, funny and 1 hell of a fighter!

I don't hate Pac - I'm a little pissed he destroyed Ricky like that, but Ricky is more to blame for that than Pacquiao.

His fans though.. oooohhh boy.. they make my blood boil. Pacquiao is not a God, but say something slightly negative about the guy and they scream blasphemey. They'll be on you like rabid dogs. It makes me not want to be a fan of the guy and it makes me wanna see him lose so I can laugh my ass off at his cringeworthy fans.

Don't wanna generalise, but with Pac fans you kind of have to as 98% of them are like that..

You can say the same about Floyd fans, Hatton fans, Marquesz fans, the list can go on and on..

Yeah i get your point i have filipino commrades here in my battalion. Those guys are tough. What im saying is most middleweight champs (lightweight-middleweight) happens to be from western or european countries you hardly see any asians because most asian boxers can barely make 135lbs. So that said people are just not used to it then pacquiao storms in to the scene.

I see what your saying but for reference their have been a number of Pinoy champs in that weight range. Not just as famous because of the marketablity in the U.S. until Pacquiao, promoters werent really searching for a Filipino boxing superstar.
