I wouldn't say he's been in any real wars, he knows how to conduct himself and does indeed know how to adapt. But obviously, that's only as good as the fighters you fight. Guys like Castillo and Chop Chop gave him good fights (especially Castillo) and had a very good outing (possibly his best) against Coralles. But since then, It's been more lackluster than pure excitement. Will Floyd be able to rewind the clock and put on a Gatti-eque or Carrolas-esque performance? Seems as if he almost has to.Comment

i feel the same way, i am a big jmm fan, also a pbf fan, but money does have awesome infighting skills. dude does not get hit no matter how close you get. i dont think jmm has a chance.

I have watched win his medal at the Olympics. I followed his early career watched him batter Genaro, then I remember being amped to watch Mayweather-Manfready (that was for Fighter of the year~) been watching ever since.
It is very easy to pick out who has watched his fights and who has not.Comment

I have seen the Judah fight, DLH fight, Hatton fight, Gatti fight, Chico fight and pieces of the Castillo fights...he is a great fighter, but I would like to see him in the ring with a fighter almost or as intelligent as him, I hope Marquez meant by "Mexican War" that he will never give up and not walk forward because that will be disastrous for him.Comment

I mean, really, I know you aren't going to sit here and tell me that Castillo didn't have success against Floyd, even if you believe Floyd won both fights. Castillo won quite a few rounds against Mayweather.
So... how did he win those rounds? Is your argument that he outboxed Mayweather from the outside? Castillo showed, in a head-to-head matchup, that he is a better inside fighter than Floyd.
He'd also never been out of South Africa, and his only big win was Cassius Baloyi... it went the distance.Comment

Ive seen his fight with...
Baldy
DLH
Hatton
Judah
Mitchell
Bruseles
Gatti
Corley
N Dou
Sosa
Castillo 1
Castillo 2
Jesus Chavez
C Hernandez
G Hernandez
Diego Corrales
Burton
Gerena
Mandfredy
Juuko
He has not been in wars. The Burton fight is the hardest fight he has been in and i dont consider that a hard fight.
Jesus Chavez,Castillo 1 are his next hardest fights, but i dont think they were what i would consider hard fights. More competitive the normal but not hard/tough fights.Comment
