I like Paulie but I think it would not be the best match up for him to say the least.
Paulie Malignaggi was asked if he believed he could beat Manny Pacquiao...

“Now I believe I do. Not before, I’m a lot better boxer now.”
Every boxer believes he has a chance against Pacquiao, and it remains to be seen If Paulie can back up his words.
I also asked Paulie about the scare he had with recent OnThEGRiND BoXiNG RaDIo guest Chris Fernandez in the 6th round of their recent 8 rounder, which was supposed to be a stay busy fight for Malignaggi. Paulie said that Chris had him a little shook up, but he knew that he would make it through the match and win. He went on to call the fight “A glorified sparring match.”
Paulie Malignaggi expressed his desire to do the OnThEGRiND BoXiNG RaDIo show soon at my invite saying he, “Would love to do the show,” and will “Answer any questions fans have” for him.

I don't know why more boxers don't...
If I was Paulie, I would probably be like: "No... I doubt it. The way he has been fighting is beyond anything I've ever seen before."
It would be echoing the way everyone else feels, and he is in no danger of losing a potential fight with Pacquiao by saying this, because there is no potential fight with Pacquiao.
Fighters feel like it's okay to say they would lose against past ATGs, but refuse to say it about current ones? That's silly.
If you don't have this type of self confidence, then you're not fighting at a high level, simple as that.Comment

What's silly is what you're implying. Self confidence and self belief, even to the point of seeming delusional is a must if you're doing something at a high level. Even the most humble fighters think the same, they might not say it and try to dodge the question or give a pr type answer, but they believe it.

Triangle theory or not, I saw 0 that made me believe that Malignaggi would be even remotely competitive if those two met.
It's just lunacy that Malignaggi believes that.
It's this ****** belief that boxers have that make them give the 12th away in a fight they are losing and then claim they were robbed.
Boxers need to get it through their head. "You are not special, you do not get to win a fight simply because you tried hard. This is a sport where some people are going to be better than others. Unless you are the very best, there are going to be people better than you."Comment
