Mayweather fighting Pacquiao on his first fight back would have been a mistake,let Pacquiao fight Cotto next and Mayweather fight Mosely if he wins his fight with JMM. Mayweather and Pacquiao will fight next year.


By the way, Mayweather won't beat Mosely and he sure as hell won't fight Cotto.

What made Manny look bad here is that his people said that they'd rather fight Cotto because Manny has a better chance in that fight. You would never hear Leonard Ellerbe say that Floyd wanted to fight someone because it's an easier fight whether it's true or not. And that is true with all fighters. It shows that they are not 100% confident that Manny will win and that's not good. The fight is Floyd-Manny BAR NONE!!! Floyd/Manny against Cotto is big for boxing fans but would not be even close as far as mainstream appeal. Floyd is the big name and Manny is the hot name right now that everyone suddenly knows, even outside boxing circles. I feel that Shane and Cotto have unfinished business and a rematch is a MUST in that fight.. Assuming Cotto gets past Clottey which is not a given by any means. The same with Floyd fighting Manny. He must get by Marquez. Then the winner of Floyd/Manny fights Shane/Miguel. Great scenario. And I'll say it now! Manny is great and accomplished a lot but he needs to fight these guys at 147. The only people that are being talked about for a potential fight with him are Cotto, Floyd, Shane. They are all welters so why can he fight Oscar at 147 but not anyone else even though those are the fights he wants.
