does a victory over the other proves anything?

i mean manny pacquiao vs floyd myweather jr...

does a victory over the other really settles the question of who is greater?

look at hagler & hearns... both beat roberto duran, but manos de piedra is almost always ahead of these two (even sugar ray leonard) in any credible all-time list...

    same with pryor & arguello...

    what say you people?

Neither guy needs the other to be ATG. But Pac's res/legacy>Mr boat buyer's. If Mr boat buyer beats him, he may still not be remembered as the gr8er fighter career wise, tho he is the more skilled fighter.

        not really.

if pac beats cotto or shane for a 147 belt.

i really don't think floyd could catch him legacy wise.

unless he beats pavlik at 160 for the 160 belt or something.

Being that these two fighters legacy's are very close... the fact that Floyd IS undefeated... DOES mean a lot..

            Yep, i agree with this.

But if Floyd beats Pac and goes on to beat a top WW, then Floyd should be recognised as a better fighter than Pac.

If Pac wins a belt at 147, i'd be surprised. I just cant see it happening.

so u think the "0" of PBF would carry more weight than any criteria in any future all-time discussions between him & MP?

                Of course not!

                wins are overrated these days.
