      Also the WBC looks greedy. They suddenly authorizes the division despite ridiculing the new alphabetboy (IBF) for making up a divsion between MW and LHW. Thereby they earned more sanctioning fees and helped Leonard to become the first 5 time champion. At least that's how I remember it.

      Still the fight was entertaining and Leonards combos where great in that fight and the finish was brutal.

      Yeah, pretty entertaining fight, Lalonde was still the much bigger man on the night of the fight so Leonard deserves some credit for the win, I also have to wonder if Leonard would have won the fight if they had just fought at 175 though where Lalonde wouldn't have had to shrink himself down, Lalonde did knock him down after all.

        I almost forgot the subject of the thread.

        Henry Armstrong also fought for 2 titles when he defended against Lew Feldman. (LW and WW). Of course that was a defense. If Feldman had won he'd have taken the titles.
