I think Froch is more open but Pavlik IS hittable and its Carl who has slightly better Power and Chin IMO so he should get a KO win in a great fight

froch will not make any weight below 168, he is simply too big. pavlik at the higher weights (vs taylor and hopkins) looked sluggish and as though he couldn't get off, 160 is his best weight.

pavlik is the fight that veryone wants - right now AA, kessler, bute, froch can all beat pavlik. if pavlik and froch do get it on i can see froch winning, he simply hits too hard and pavlik doesn't have the ring smarts to outbox someone like froch through using his jab and disguising his right hand. i think thats part of the reason why they wanted to get someone like mora in, mora is an elusive and slippery fighter and would force pavlik to think in the ring and at the same time be little threat.

if froch and pavlik do get it on then i think pavlik shouldn't turn up at anything below 164, even then it would depend on how he looks come fight night - id say froch via KO.

This would be a great fight for both fighters. Win or lose it's sure to be a barn stormer. I don't think Froch will knock Pavik out. I can see Pavlik knocking Froch out late on because his work rate is high.

I wouldn't bet against a decision or a KO either way though!

Pavlik is a strange one. He is a very big guy and obviously has to work hard to make 160. However, when he has moved up in weight(166,170) he has looked sluggish and he seems to not be in particularly great shape. Although his stamina and strength still seem high.

Great fight and I hope it happens.

i can't see pavlik knocking out freoch, yes froch has been downed by taylor but never hurt, froch looked shaky but his senses were still intact his legs didn't go and he didn't look too wobbly. watch after the KD and taylor doesn't finish him and froch doesn't look all over the place. imo froch was caught cold he hadn't even worked up a sweat.

pavlik on the other hand was genuinely hurt by taylor. pavlik hits hard but his power is so overrated that its untrue.

I know Froch wasn't hurt. It was a flash temple knock down it looked to me. Froch said he only had 15 minutes warm up and he usually takes over 30 mins so it's probable he was just caught cold.

Pavlik's power is not overrated I don't think. He has numerous vicious, vicious KOs. Pavlik was more hurt than Froch in their fights against Taylor because Taylor was literally teeing off on Pavik's head with about 10 power hooks before he went down. I'm amazed he got up so quickly. Pavlik is a very very tough man. They are both very tough men.

              I agree with this.

Both of these guys have good chins, and both hit hard. I think that the fight would probably end in a TKO, with the corner or the ref deciding that one of them had taken too much punishment.

Anyone in the world can be knocked out, but I think it would take a hell of a lot to put either of them down for a 10 count.
