I know you love the sport, but you can't separate the competitive aspect and the financial aspect.

You can separate it in football, basketball, baseball, etc. Even tennis and golf. Who cares what those guys make because in the final analysis, the best have to play the best. No matter which way you cut it, the World Series, NBA Finals and SuperBowl will be played every year.

We have chosen to be boxing fiends. The sport we love is different. What's the main reason fights are made or not made? Money. Guys don't fight for legacy anymore. They fight for money.

Again, with all due respect to Manny Pacquiao (ATG fighter), but his last two fights were money plays. And the reason he didn't fight Gooz was money.

So, we as fans of THIS sport are obligated to keep one eye on the cash register. The balance sheet rules in boxing.
