  • Do you think B-Hop ruined Pavlik for good?

He took on of those career ruining beatings from hopkins just like the one he gave to Taylor, who is now ruined. Since then he has singed up for 2 fights against opponents who are not dangerous, and even though he stopped Rubio his face had many bruises and blood shot eyes. If Rubio did that to him what do you think Arthur Abrham or Paul WIlliams would do? I think he may be avoiding both those long awaited fights because he and his promoter are scared that it will be another night like he had against Hopkins or maybe even worse like KO'd.

Kelly was a bit overrated, to begin with.

But I think Bernard ruined his mental confidence.

Only time will tell, but the way he refused to give Hopkins any credit for the victory ("he isn't crafty"), and blamed the loss on everything from - bronchitis, to brusitis, to an inflamed muscle sack in his elbow - leads me to believe that Hopkins ruined him, mentally.

To be honest, Hopkins has done that to a lot of guys.

I didn't know he made all those lame excuses for getting beat. But thats what I meant also was he is ruined mentally for good.

Ive said this before, I think Pav is damaged goods and Arum knows this...which is the reason that Arum has paired him against Rubio and Mora.. think he's trying to milk all the cash out of Pav b4 putting him on the spot with a top contender or other champion.

I think B-Hop whooped that ass soo bad that pav has confidence issues..

I agree and what is with this bull **** of Arum putting both those fights on PPV they are not worthy or $60.

I agree with this. I think kelly's invincible mentality is destroyed, so I'd imagine kelly needs another "big" win to get that confidence back, say over Arthur Abraham.

The more important factor with this mentality imo is the refusal to accept WHY he got schooled. This may prevent him from trying to figure out what went wrong and what to fix and prevent next time around. I think kelly needs a new trainer asap

No. He outboxed him, but he didn't brutally punish him.

In the same notion, did Roy Jones ruin Bernard when they first fought? Look what Bernard achieved after that loss. Give Pavs a chance to prove himself throughout the span of his career. He's still very young.

maybe not physically (even though i think he did) but more so mentally.. Hopkins won every round, looked 20 years younger, did what he wanted, and Pav couldn't do a damn thing about it... He was dejected in the corner after round after round of getting outclassed...
