Now that he is the top guy there is so much talk about him being compared to Henry Armstrong(which I think is ridiculous) and being pretty high on the list of all time greats. I like manny and I do think he is a great fighter, but if he looses his next fight to whoever that may be, what happens to his legacy?

Everyone will hop off the bandwagon and every phillipino that lives in the phillipines will kill theirselves because their "messiah" was defeated. Then WWIII will begin, all because of a pinoy boxer.

Nothin happens to his legacy if he loses. Any of the guys lookin to fight him are very good fighters who'd be favored to beat him anyway.

Depends on who he loses to. Regardless of whether he wins or loses his next fight, no matter how you slice it he is already the closest thing we will ever see to henry armstrong in our lifetime.

But it depends on who he loses to. If he fights and loses to someone like timothy bradley or andreas kotelnik then surely his status and legacy will take a hit. But that is highly unlikely. His list of possible opponents include Marquez who he would be 50/50 with given their history...Mayweather, Mosley and Cotto. All of whom would be heavily favored to to beat him anyway.

depends at what weight class. If he fights a former WW champ like Floyd or Cotto then I don't think he looks to bad. If he lost to Amir Khan he might look worse. Anyone 135 and below could be bad. The bigger you are in status the harder you fall when you lose to an inferior.
