Floyd isn't a massive guy. He has a well proportioned, athletic build. Due to this, he carries the weight well between weight classes.

People need to stop complaing about weight between fighters. They need to realise that if the fighters are around the same size, i.e., everyone Mayweather has fought (infact the Oscar was alot larger than him) and that noone is weight drained or has other injuries then the best boxer and fighter will win.

Hatton got beaten because Mayweather was better. He beat Oscar because he was better. He beat Judah, Castillo II because he was better. Against Baldomir he demonstrated he has the potential to be a very good marathon runner as well as boxer.

These guys all weighed roughly the same as him and on fight night probably outweighed him I should think.

However, I do think Marquez is a lot smaller than Floyd. They may be nearly the same height but at this stage of their careers Marquez is really a superfeather and Mayweather I'd say is around a stone heavier. That may play a part in their bout as Marquez has to quickly put on 5-10lbs of good muscle which is going to be very hard to do in less than 9 weeks.

I'm not going to critise the guys Floyd has fought. He might pick cherries such as Baldomir, but those cherries always outweighed him.

Prove he didn't... he weighed 150 on the dot against De La Hoya at the weigh-in, and in his welterweight fights he only weights 148ish at maximum on fight night, so it isn't that dismissible, lets be fair...

From the weigh in reports he weigh 150(according to the contract he signed with oscar where he had to weigh-in at 150ish) and on the HBO fight-night reported to have weigh in at 148.

WTF. baldomir was bigger than PBF. in the countdown show they said that Baldomir walks around at 180lbs and has to sweat down to make welter. Hatton is the only guy Floyd fought that was smaller then him.

i don't think williams should focus on fighting any WW in all honesty. he brings less money than everyone except clottey

but lets be honest here... floyd's competition level has been nowhere near good since his 140 fights until now
