How much heart did it take to fight Castillo with a torn rotator cuff...get hit more then ever and then rematch him IN YOUR NEXT FIGHT....when Castillo fought 2-3 times in that span?

How much heart did it take to fight a 38-1..Genaro Hernandez at 21 years old for the WBC featherweight title?

How much heart did it taker to fight the giant Corralles who was knocking people out left and right and was 33-0 when Floyd fought him?...Floyd gave Corralles the worse beating of his career.

With a small ring..so Floyd couldnt move...with small gloves with hopes that his hands would break??

    Huh how much ****ing heart?

    Thanks.
Good point on most of them, but the last 2 I don't agree with. It didnt take much heart to elbow a 140lber who everyone knew ****** at 147 in the mouth over and over and have a biased ref let you get away with it. It didnt heart to run from Oscar all night. Most importantly, it didnt take heart to retire whenever you felt forced to fight a young Welterweight and come out of retirement when there is a 135-140lber to fight.

      Atleast manny is trying!!!!!!!!!
You know my toughts on the Cotto_Floyd situation. I do not think anyone ever tried to make that fight really happean. It would be cool if they fought, would have bene a good fight and can still be a good fight in the future. So I think you are overblowing that situation a little bit between them (to me it was all Arum double talk).

I think that Floyd has adequet heart and courage for a boxer, although he is smart which leads people to saying he makes ***** moves (I guess it depends on ones prespective lol).

Also I do not believe Floyd is to small to fight real 147 pounders, although I understand why some of the bigger ones would not be who he would be looking to fight (Cotto doesn't fall into that group though), he is good enough to fight those guys and win.

In 2007 he made a mint so it is hard to question those fights considering Floyd's motivation ($$$$$$$$), retiring after was pretty much a waste of his prime but he is back now I am more interested in what happeaned after the JMM fight, but I think that fight could be interesting also (althoguh i fully expect Floyd to dominate, but after that time off you need to find out where you are at, even Floyd Mayweather).

Funny you make a thread about this when you got owned and disappeared yesterday in the other one. Floyd does not have championship heart. He does not have the heart of an ATG like others. He did not thrive to face the biggest challenges even if he would be risking defeat. He did not go out and do something he was not expected to do. You put Duran's heart in Floyd he's an ATG top 10 easy. There's a reason why he barely cracks top 50. End thread.

Not much when the guys is coming off of a loss and you know he's going to tire out after a few minutes.

          Thanks.
Glove size is actually determined by the division the fight is occuring in. It has nothing to do with hoping Floyd breaks his hands.

Floyd has never been in a position where his heart was tested. He's never been in deep water to display any heart. While that is a testament of his talent, heart is a completely different thing.

I though glove size could be negotiated on, although as you go up in weight the minimum does go up. I think you can have it negotiated though if you want gloves above whatever the minimum size is (but if the minimum is 10 I do not think it can be dropped to 8 ouncers).

There are a couple fight in which he showed heart JLC 1 for sure that was a hard fought and he had to dig real deep in that fight. The Corley fight where he got stung, then proceed to get his sences back then beat the piss out of Corley for the rest of the round. Against Zab I also feel he showed some heart because that fight was not going his way and he was able to turn that fight in his favor.

Someone without heart would have folded in one of the above situation, but in most of his fights you are right he has not been forced to show much heart.

Co-sign, but we can all name a few fighters who we think could bring out the best in floyd yet. Just haven't seen the fights happen, a lot of them. This is the problem.

                      For real.

Marquez is now P4P the most heartful guy in boxing.
