What Do You Think Of The Cubans?

The likes of Odlanier Solis, Erislandy Lara and Guillermo Rigondeaux all defected from Cuba to become professional boxers. I am glad to see these guys defecting as Cuba has always produced phenomenal fighters who have never had the chance to show their real skills on the pro scene. Do you think these Cubans can go on to become great fighters?

Cubans are usually party animals. They like their beer, food, cigars, and women.

I think perhaps Cuba will open up after the Castro Brothers are gone.

Cuba is so close to us here in the U.S.A.

It would be nice if they mended some fences and had trade relationships again.

what real man does not like those things? the only question is can they stay focused. when i defected and got to the u.s it was a shock to say the least, but no one was throwing money at me like all of the guys listed. you have to ask yourself how hard would it be for you to stay focused if you had very little all of your life and then over night your rich and free

Solis seems to kind of have fallen for that kind of thing.
I wish that boy would lose about 20 pounds so we can his true talent.

Yeah, that's gotta be hard to be so disciplined like that.

I saw a show on Cuban amateurs. Now that is some serious **** those guys train day in day out for years...with very few luxuries.

I can see why they want to enjoy their freedom when they leave.

From what I've seen, the cubans are the most skilled boxers in general

Cubans are beasts, but they dont get chances to be good pros because of the whole communism thing.
