These two groups are really thinking along the same lines though so there is really nothing blazing to talk about with this fight currently.

The Mayweather fight is two months out, and we are all (appropriately) still in the afterglow of Pac's awesome performance vs. Hatton.

The PBF-JMM hype won't take off until 24/7 and after the Cotto-Clottey fight.

BTW, I think that fighting the #2 p4p guy while coming off a 2 year layoff is dangerous.... this is a tough fight for Floyd.

Followed by, endless topics if JMM has any hope. Or if the fans have any hope for JMM.

dot count out marquez, although he would start as the underdog. he was able to live with pacs speed and im sure he will do the same with floyd.

Damn i thought he was the best fighter alive i thought he don't need that tune-up against a midget and i thought he was training while he's retire. Damn those fanboys saying that floyd was secretly training. damn them. this fight is pure trash in every department.

Well I am in the group that gives JMM a slim chance, I think JMM is a great fighter and can not be counted out. If Floyd is still Floyd he wins, but there is a chance he is not exactly the same. I would not exactly call it a tune-up but more of a set-up fight to advance whatever his aims are.

I do not think size is the main issue for JMM although he is the smaller man (it is not some David vs Goliath fight more like David vs someone slightly larger then David), I just do not think he has what it takes to beat Floyd although I am interested to see what he tries to do.

The fight has been disucssed a lot recently, but you are right it will pick up as the fight gets closer (although this is Floyd we are talking about so I am sure it will be discussed at length throughout the whole lead up).

Size, weight, height difference is a big factor. even floyd said in the press marquez is a midget. Marquez at 135 is not the marquez i know at 130 how much more at 144 lol.

                    Don,

Look at the picture in your sig. How big of a size difference is there? really?

The difference is that Floyd CAN fight at 147, so he did. But the reality is that Floyd and Juan fought for FIVE YEARS at just four pounds apart. PBF is the naturally biugger man by one weight class.

The size difference between Delahoya and Mayweather is WAAAAY bigger than the size difference between Floyd and Juan.

Floyd has a size advantage. Marquez has an activity advantage. Quis has hotel reservations in Vegas.

Side note: Yeah. The Marquez at 135 is knocking everyone out....something he wasn't doing at 130.

I know homey. But it's above 140, so it's a WW fight. Tuneup against a lower top 10 WW if that's gonna be the case. If the goal is a Pac fight, it should happen at JWW for Pac's world title. In that case, tuneup against a JWW.
