I'm going to save my breakdown for closer to the fight, but I think many of you are going to be surprised.

JMM ko'ing Casamayor and Diaz is more than Floyd has done in 7 years so I don't want to hear that this is an easy fight.
I completely disagree, if he stands and tries to box he will get throttled (Gatti'd if you will). Floyd as the advantages at range (more speed, longer arms) so I do not understand your analysis at all. JMM is sweet and I doubt Floyd will just steamroll him without having to try hard.

I just do not see where JMM has the advantage in where the fight should be fought, on the outside Mayweather should be the better man on the inside I think Floyd is also the supperior technician (he gets hit a lot less then JMM, although JMM does put together some nice punches). There might be some inbetween range where he can get off, but I highly doubt Floyd will be in that range for long either all the way in or all the way out. I am interested to see what JMM tries to do to counter this, but I do not have an answer (JMM is a great fighter though so he might well find a solution I can not fathom).

If they were a little closer in weight I'd be more intrigued. Marquez doesn't look built for 140 and above like Manny does. And he also hasn't been facing big Lightweights either. Casa and Diaz are both smaller Lightweights.

I still like the style match. It'll be interesting to see how they one up each other. These are thetwo most skillful fighters int he sport bar none.

As I mentioned in my quote, I am not doing my analysis yet. However, I will answer your question with my opinion. All I said is that jmm will not rush in and I think floyd will box to a boring decision. Reason is this, jmm has nasty, extremely accurate combos an a very high boxing iq(gatti has none of those so he won't get gatti'd). He knows whee the punches are coming from and the best counters. He will sting floyd quite a bit, then floyd gets on his bike. Again, I want to think more about this but I'm sticking to my above post, and it wasn't a full fight prediction.
I do think jmm hits the canvas this fight, but he can outbox floyd. How does floyd fare against technicians like jmm? We don't know

I do not think JMM can hurt Floyd point blank, well he could if Floyd let him but when does Floyd ever let anyone hurt them. From there I can not really see how JMM accomplishes what you say he can. I think JMM is good enough to not get Gatti's like Gatti did but over the course of the fight I think it looks more and more like that until it is over. I do not think JMM can force Floyd into anything, I think it will be Floyd that forces JMM into whatever type of fight he wants (he could also mix up what he does).

I do not think that Floyd is just going to walk in the ring and do that he will have to break down JMM's style first.

That said I consider JMM great and can not count out a great fighter, when you add in time off and possibly weight (I do not think they will be huge factors but they could be, plus there could be other unknown factors that pop up), this is basically the best shot JMM has at beating Floyd, I still just do not think it will be enough.

This fight is a lot closer than most people think.

Mayweather is not in his prime and has been out of the ring for 17 months.

JMM has a good chance to cause an upset.

Or at least make the fight competitive.

Why? nobody cares about pbf. This fight is irrelevant for boxing. He's taking on another small fighter that everyone in here knows his going knock his behind out, so why show any interest. What he needs to do is fight the top dogs at 147 instead of fighting smaller fighters.

That's the excuse floyd will use if he loses.
