And I'm in no way dissing Pac, I'm a huge fan and his boxing skills are underrated. But, and this is key, stylistically speaking Floyd is perfectly set up to beat Pac.

Floyd Jr is an extremely good counter puncher, JMM had great success against Pac when he started to time his punches. Expect Floyd to lose the first few rounds, Pac's aggression and workrate will have him in an early lead. But as we've seen on countless occasions before, Floyd will use his defense to hang in there and eventually he will start to counter punch effectively.

Floyd's defense is insane, I don't think enough people realise how hard it is to actually land a punch on Floyd. He works in the pocket like no other, he has an ability to make you miss by millimeters, punches that some onlookers deem to have landed in fact graze off his shoulders, gloves or even sometimes over the top of his head.

There has been a lot of talk about size in the possibility of this fight, size won't matter as much as strength. Floyd has the edge in strength, he proved against Hatton and De La Hoya (at a higher weight than Pac) that he can out wrestle bigger opponents.

Pac's only chance is if he can trick Floyd into moving and covering up by using feints and head movement. If Pac can do this he may be able to land enough to hurt or stop Floyd. If this fight goes to the judges Floyd wins.nny n

I have always rooted for Pac, and I believe I still will when these two meet, but my boxing brain leaves me with no doubt who will win.
manny pacquiao now is different, you still see the old him

Pac fights people who are tailored madef or him.......

JMM is a boxer but he throws ALOT of punches and likes to brawl........

Guys like Guzman and Mayweather Pac would be lucky to win rounds aginst let alone the fight.

I think Guzman beats the **** out of Pac and leaves untouched.....

Now imagine a bigger version of Guzman who hits harder and is faster and has better defense.

Floyd is laughing right now...all this Manny hype will make him look like a god...

Hes going To do him just like Gatti..and it will be sad as hell watching Manny get ****d....in the biggest PPV mismatch of all time.

Manny just fought 3 tailor made guys.......

        De LeZombie.....well what can I say....NO DEFESNE.

Diaz.....A SLOW come first brawler......NO DEFESNE.

Hatton.....a DUMB face first brawler.....NO DEFENSE.

And guys are saying hell KO Floyd the best DEFENSIVE fighter possibly of all time..gtfo.

        STYLES MAKES FIGHTS..****** ****S.

Don't get it twisted, Pac is the hardest fight out there for Floyd
Floyd will struggle with Pac's southpaw stance, he also can't afford to just sit back and risk getting overwhelmed by the speed & number of punches thrown at him

I believe Floyd has enough to adapt and beat Manny, but it won't be easy at all.

people on here are ******ed i swear, they act like all floyd possesses in his arsenal is the shoulder roll defence and his footwork (or running as they call it), he is an all round defensive master, he can use the winky guard (like in the judah fight), he can shoulder roll, he is sharp enough with his reflexes to slip and duck punches, and even if he does get hit he can roll with the shot to lessen the damage, plus he is an accurate puncher, quick hands, has good power when not fighting a dude who outweighs him by 10-15 lbs and hes a smart mother***er....

like when people say "the shoulder roll dont work vs southpaws, floyds going to get beat" thats just ******ed, we have seen floyd adapt defensively vs a quick southpaw before havent we? watch the damn judah fight, cos thats whats gonna happen in floyds vs manny

I appreciate his new skills, and he is much more of a boxer than before. But Floyd is on another level in terms of defense and counter punching, two elements that are a stylistic nightmare for Pac.

I disagree, Cotto, Mosley, Paul Williams and Margarito (if he ever comes back) are all much tougher opponents for Floyd.

The only thing I fear is that in the aftermath of this matchup Floyd will use the huge amount of hype surrounding Pacquiao as an excuse to call himself the greatest and avoid tougher opponents.
