The way he talks **** before fights but doesn't really deliver any entertainment. He talks more **** then a prime Mike Tyson, yet atleast a prime Mike Tyson was entertaining.
Does Floyd Mayweather Jr make a mockery of this sport?

You don't need knockouts to be entertaining... That is far from what I am saying. Maybe if I smoked crack then I'd enjoy a boring running around the ring backwards and pot-shoting and barely even have a workrate and just to get the win so he can put more money in his pocket without trying to make any excitement in the ring.Comment

Characters aren't needed in an actual sport. For sports entertainment, yea,
but boxing is an actual sport that isn't scripted.Comment

Well, I guess Muhammad Ali also made a mockery of this sport. He dissed everyone under the sun, even the greats before him.
going by your rational, of course.Comment

Ali atleast had a workrate and made fights entertaining to some extent. Mayweathers workrate is next to nothing, he just does enough to get the win and not try to excite the fans. So terrible comparison from your part. When a guy barely throws punches and seems to go into every boxing match as survival mode, its lame. Floyd fights as if he is always fighting against a lion in that ring, and he goes so defensive he forgets that the fans love to see offense.Comment

Funny how the people he ko'd were 25 bums, and still he fought as cautious as if he was fighting against a lion. Bringing up his kos is kind of cheap that is like if I brag about Calzaghe getting tkos over bums aswell. The only fight that he ever had which was truly entertaining was the one sided beatdown he gave to gatti.Comment
