Wow... I didn't think Hatton's team would be that shameless. Ricky "The Excuse-ioner" Hatton.

You only have to listen to the advice Floyd was giving to ricky in the corner (which he ignored) to be sure of that. There is no excuse for what happened on May 2, whatsoever, and this is coming from a pretty big Hatton fan. I just hope that his camp does right by him and doesn't come out with any blame game nonesense.
I agree-There are only 2 things that beat Ricky Hatton that night, his lack of defense and Manny. It doesn't sound like Ricky is pointing the finger.Seems like it would be out of character for him,but his team need to realise that he just wasn't listening to Floyd sr.In all fairness,Floyd sr at least taught him a little bit of head movement and a jab. When its fight night, its just between the 2 fighters, and if they cannot listen to outside observations, then these things can happen. He just simply fought his old style which never worked with the elite fighters. His style is meant to be beaten by people who are crafty-no shame in losing to Floyd or Manny. He can live to fight another day...

I agree. The last thing Floyd sr would want was for Ricky to lose-if they won,it would set them up for more big payday fights.I did hear that there were disagreements before the fight. In speculation, maybe that is why Ricky fought the wrong fight and ignored his trainer-out of frustration with him, sort of like rebelling against him....who knows.

True statement.Ricky's style is meant for fast fighters to benifit from.Even if Hatton's defense was up,he still would of gotten broken down.
I even believe Junior Witter would be a handful for Ricky, due to his style.Ricky beats fighter who fight toe to toe.Junior is too awkward for him.The biggest fight out there for him is Oscar De La Hoya (if he got out of retirement)-and I think Oscar is finished boxing for sure.TBH
I see him beating Oscar as well, even before Oscar was "weight drained" with Manny,he looked poor against Steve Forbes.

I'm a big fan of Hatton's, but I totally agree with this.

Yeah, he did make Floyd Sr look like a moron and perhaps the worst
trainer on the planet. Hatton made Floyd go down to Buddy Mcgirt's
status......Ha Ha!!! Nah, I think Floyd is still a good trainer but Hatton
doesn't have the skill or technique to execute his teachings effectively
against elite fighters. I think once Hatton got in the ring with Manny
he just felt like he wanted to silence the critics by totally dominating
Manny & Manny paced himself, remembered his training & ROCKED Hatton
like the Casbah. Floyd Sr is a guy you have to take with a grain of salt
like Freddie Roach did. I don't know the specifics of their issues but
the fight would have meant more to me and regardless of what, would
                have listened to Floyd Sr.

I think they should even owe it to FMS to have hyped the fight and probably have booked a few more PPV buys because of it.

My guess is that FMS just knew all along this will happen but he doesnt care as long as he got the $$$$. Screwed em real good.

CO-SIGN!!!!.........I dont like neither one of those clowns(Hatton or Sr.)......they BOTH overrated and it showed!
