ummm no. JMM is p4p#2 and arguably one of the more skilled boxers of all-time. an upset isn't out of the question in this fight. JMM could figure out how to beat mayweather if he uses the right strategies throughout the fight.

JMM is the #2 P4P fighter who seems to have increased in power in his last two fights. Casamayor and Baby Bull were never stopped previously. Marquez is a smart, experienced fighter. Manny Pacquiao is one of the greatest fighters of all time. If not for a couple of KD's, Marquez would have beat Manny twice.

So, Marquez is a great, great fighter who is giving up about five pounds or so. That is offset, as Juan says, by the two years of inactivity that Floyd brings. You can't just get off your sofa after two years and beat a HoF fighter. That is the stuff of legend. SRL-type stuff.

To accomplish this, PBF must ensure that he gets great sparring to bring his sharpness back. But where do you get sparring partners as smart and skilled as JMM? Floyd must be more aggressive and try to put some distance on the scorecards via a KD or two. JMM can be caught. But his heart is amazing.

Floyd must ensure that his stamina is first-rate. JMM hasn't tired.

To beat JMM, Floyd will have to ensure his defense is the difference. Offensively, they are about even.

      Power - even
      Speed - Floyd
      Defense - Floyd
      Offense - Marquez slight advantage
Intangibles - Marques (active, on a streak)
      Training/Corner - Marquez

This is a pick 'em fight.

What I'm worried for Floyd for is that he is 2 years rusty, yet he might want to make a statement fight to prove to everyone that the real p4p#1 is back. He would want to KO JMM in a quickness. Im not sayin he's not capable of that, he probably could do it but that plays right into what JMM does best. It should be an interesting fight.

Mayweather should fight his fight if he expects to win this duel. Marquez got alot of flash knockdowns against Pacquiao but still took it the distance, so his heart is a big weapon. Thing is though, if Marquez gets drawn into a slow paced battle, his pride will kick in and will want to make it exciting. Thats when Mayweather should strike, the rest will be history.

P4P #1 and P4P #2 are two totally different universes.

either you are the P4P best or not. #2 #3 or #4 doesnt matter. thats 2nd, 3rd and 4th place losers in my eyes

ill say again. PBF is the definition of a gym rat. if you think that he's been out of the gym during his hiatus, you are seriously off your rocker.

His retirement was theater. Theater in order to generate more money once he came back.

if ring rust was an issue, why would he fight the guy Pac has been dodging as a tune up?

if he does have ring rust and is coming back to fight a tune up with JMM, that says how much of a threat they see JMM isnt to PBF

so it only makes things look even worse for JMM

no **** sherlock, you fail to realize whats being said here.

DLH threw a ton of punches. had a slim few that were clean. but all the others were misses. you most likely thought they were connecting.

i didnt really see a defense from JMM when he fought Diaz. Diaz hit him at will.

stop comparing peoples fights with PBF's they dont translate
