        yeah.. to think that only 18 punches was landed, it would be less if Hatton did not manage to hold and hit.. he hit Pac on the back of the head 3-4 times too.

        So is Manny also a damaged good? from Rustico Torrecampo and Medgoen Singsurat?

        Your logic is somewhat... oh **** I don't even have a word for it.

          Hatton lost to the better man in Manny Pacquiao. Ricky was a solid and respectable champ at 140 for nearly 5 years, and fought all comers in defending the title with the exception of Junior Witter. Why everyone is taking a collective **** on him is beyond me really. Not once did he disparage Pacquiao, or make any excuses as to why he lost. All he has said is he fought with his heart and fought the exact wrong fight, and he is devastated by getting his ass beat in spectacular fashion. What more do you want from him?

          It's sad to see how quickly a great champ is disparaged the second he loses to a potentially all-time great fighter. I suppose it makes everyone feel great that Hatton got KTFO and the cool thing to do now is jump on the Pacman bandwagon and piss all over Hatton as a overrated bum, and that's just wrong in my opinion. Everyone can lose, Pacquiao included. If and when Pacquiao ever gets KTFO and laid on the canvas it will be interesting to see how many douchebags come out and say "Pacquiao was an overrated bum, he sucks" etc just because he lost.

          This isn't being a respectable boxing fan people. It's called being a prick *******.

            oz,

            u know me & u is cool, but cmon now. He might not have said anything disparaging per say but he wasnt exactly humble & respectful of Pacquiao. He made excuses when he lost to floyd, now he's making veiled excuses as to why he lost to pacquiao;

            Pacquiao has been knocked out before. Twice.

                I watched that video in your link. I didn't hear any excuses. The closest to one is "maybe had it gone a few rounds it could have been different, but he caught me with the first punch he threw to be honest". All he means by that is that had he not been hurt so early, and it went longer than two rounds, he may have had a chance. He also clearly says he walked straight into the ko shot and there was nothing he could have done about it. He even says Manny is a great champion and deserved the victory.

                In no way did he make any excuses in that video. If anything you can tell he is ashamed of himself and his performance, and is glad he had the great fan support he did and no one had such a large number of fans/loyal supporters than he did.

                  well said mrosborne. that's very classy of you to point out. i'm filipino and a huge pac fan, but ricky hatton doesn't deserve this kind of disrespect. he has proven his mettle by being the lineal champ at 140 for the past 5 years. he lost to a potential all-time great. there's no shame in that. if anything, he should be afforded more respect for not offering any excuses after the loss. less educated men (eg floyd mayweather sr.) would do otherwise.

                  to paraphrase mrosborne, to disparage ricky hatton after this loss "isn't being a respectable boxing fan people. It's called being a prick *******."

                    Thank you for saying that. I know Filipinos in general are very humble and they are very respectful of others as I have worked with some Filipinos in the past. It's perfectly fine to support a fighter, and there's no problem whatsoever in saying a fighter was a pompous loudmouth jerk like some fighters are in their prefight antics/aftermath in losing. How people want to discredit Hatton for losing to arguably two of the best fighters of our era and ONLY those two, yet now he's a bum? I don't subscribe to that nonsense. If anything, the man had balls for stepping up to the plate and risking it all to be regarded as the pound for pound best. Some "champions" never do that in their entire career.

                      This is exactly what thought. Hatton was nervous as hell at the weigh-in, he stuttered his words and looked very moody. I recognize these signs from performing on stage as a musician, I used to get irritable and moody before a performance. When they entered the ring he looked scared, and also with entering first (he isn't used to doing this) it threw him off even more.
