Name a Fighter you used to hate but now like and why!

like who? Pacquiao? I don't dislike the guy.. I just resented the fact I thought Marquez won but they gave it to Pacquiao.
Also that he beat one of my all time favorite fighters, who I thought would have beat him would he have been in his prime.
The biggest beef was with the idiots who where calling him "The Mexican Assassin".. I'm not Mexican but I thought that was some real disrespectful ****.

those were media guys that gave him that tag...a tag that HE himself disapproved....its cool sin...everyone loves ray leonard because he was a great fighter but i still think he's a little *****

I've always thought that Tarver was annoying with his "Look at me, look at me!" antics. His superiority complex against Roy was wearing. I realize now that he just wanted to belong, and he worked his ass off to make that happen. I can respect that ambition.

I forgot about Taylor. I hated him for the decisions in the Bhop and Winky fights, but over time I've forgiven the guy. Very underrated fighter. Too bad he's done now.

Charlie Zelenoff. I used to think his Gangster rap edge was offensive but then slowly I realized he's got the skills to back it up. He's a true G.

Hopkins, he fights so ugly at times but the more you watch him the more you begin to understand the underlying beauty of his wiork, add in the collosal Resume and the destruction of Pavlik and I'm converted.

but now seeing what he can do at his age... makes it exciting..

Kelly Pavlik
Here is why. Was being hyped up for a while and he had not faced any one and had about 28 fights already on his record. I was saying when are they going to put him in with some one half decent. They later began to bring in some old solid stiffs with good beards and Kelly was knocking them out. I said ok, but how about some younger fighters and so he then he slaughters Miranda and then he has a nice battle against Taylor on knocks him out too. When he stopped McKart, I began to pay more attention. When he put Zertuche to sleep while Zertuche was still on his feet and then Kelly woke him up with an upper cut, I was like DAMN! Anyway all was looking good for Kelly until he met Hopkins at a few pounds up. Suddenly Pavlik looked the Pavlik I thought was hype before I began to like him. Now he is fighting Mora? I still like Kelly because he destroyed the man who should have never beat Hopkins in the first place.

I didn't like him b/c I always craved a little more action in his fights. However I find his personality to be entertaining. Despite a lot of people finding that to be his biggest flaw.
