Name a Fighter you used to hate but now like and why!

Name a fighter whom you used to hate/dislike that you are now a fan of, and what changed your opinion about said fighter. I'll start: I used to really root against and dislike Paulie Malignaggi. I thought he was too in your face, and coupled with the fact that he had no power I thought he was a complete chump. I began to like him after I read his interview in Ring magazine that described the adversity of his childhood. Also, I think it's admirable that he has a good chin and frequently fights with a broken hand. Everyone name some!

Bernard Hopkins. The guy just seemed a total buffoon.

But now, in the twilight of his career he's a bit more tolerable and one of the best fighters of recent times.

I've honestly only hated Tarver. And I still don't like the mother****er either, but hate's too strong a word now. That subsided when my boy Bhop whomped him.

I dont exactly like him now, but i respect how he has improved his game. I did not hate him though.

Miguel Cotto.. I didn't hate him, just disliked him.
It's impossible not to like the guy though, he's entertaining as hell and fights everyone they put in front of him. Also really humble. He grew on me and is now one of my favorite fighters.

I never liked Manny Pacquiao, I still wouldn't consider myself a fan of his.. I do like to watch him fight though. I dislike his ignorance mostly. like how he signed with de la hoya and arum at the same time. also, how he lets people leech off of him. but the guy has proven to be a great and has given us some entertaining fights, therefor I have nothing but respect for him and props to the guy. He also seems like a really great individual outside of the ring helping his people.
My beef with Manny Pacquiao was mostly due to some of his idiotic fans though.. Also, that I know if Morales would have been in his prime the other two times he would have beat him & I felt Marquez had got robbed against him. I have no beef with him now, he has proven himself a great champion.. I'll probably be purchasing his next PPV unless it's against Mayweather.

nah, I never hated the guy. I think the only fighter I can't stand is Bernard Hopkins.
I wouldn't even say I hated Mayweather, though I don't like him.
As I said before, it's impossible not to give him his just due though. He has proven himself to be a great champion. What more can you ask for him.. except maybe for Marquez Pacquiao III!

like who? Pacquiao? I don't dislike the guy.. I just resented the fact I thought Marquez won but they gave it to Pacquiao.
Also that he beat one of my all time favorite fighters, who I thought would have beat him would he have been in his prime.
The biggest beef was with the idiots who where calling him "The Mexican Assassin".. I'm not Mexican but I thought that was some real disrespectful ****.
