Ricky Hatton a poor man's version of Glen Johnson

I was wondering what Hatton could of been like if he was actually a skilled slugger/boxer. I was thinking he would be like Tyson with the peek-a-boo defense, but he doesn't have the power of Tyson. Then I thought of Glen Johnson with his turtle defense, good chin, and decent power. Hatton fights a little similar to Johnson, except Hatton is more faster with his feet, but their mostly different in styles.

They're nothing alike. Glen has better defense, footwork, inside work, jab, and is a smarter fighter.

There is nothing "poor man" in Ricky Hatton, 8 million guaranteed. I thought Hatton could have beaten Pacquiao if if he fought like Tyson, bob and weave, lots of head movement to stop Pacquiao's one two punch straight threw the middle like he always does. Guards right next to his chin to prevent Pacquiao's hooks that he was working on, and throwing his punches without ****ing back like he always does. He would have been able to abuse Pacquiao and rough him up a lot easier. Hatton isn't slow but man did he look like it in their fight. Oh well just my thoughts, right or wrong.

Don't insult Glen Johnson like that. He has never been KTFO like Ricky has twice, the man has a steel face. He's tougher than ricky in every possible way.

Poor man's Glen Johnson? Maybe technically, but Hatton has achieved a lot more in career than Johnson has and this is coming from somone who is a much bigger fan of Johnson than Hatton.

Boxing Scene is typically underrating a fighter straight after a loss. I don't even like Hatton. I don't like his fighting style, I don't like the economy he has built around the 'average Brit on the street' image and I don't like how he didn't fight someone better on his comeback fight after losing to Mayweather. The man should have your respect though:

Former two-time IBF light welterweight champion, former WBA light welterweight champion, former WBA welterweight champion and former RING magazine light welterweight champion.

Putting asides all the trinkets, he never ducked anyone, save perhaps Junior Witter if you ever considered that a fight worth seeing anyway and only lost against the two best fighters of his generation. **** this 'poor man's Glen Johnson' ****.

Hatton has lost to two p4p no1 fighters.

Glen Johnson has lost to great fighters like Woods, Harmon, Sheika, Branco, and Vanderpool.
