I feel bad for Shane

the last 4 maybe facts and I can agree with you but the 1st one about Shane being overrated is either a hate comment or just plain ******. Shane's not overrated and takes on any commers! C'mon, stop the hate.

I actually like Shane as a person but I do think he's overrated for the following reasons:

1)Caught cheating against Oscar...so the win means nothing
2)Lost his 2 biggest fights against Forrest and Wright and both rematches
3)Beat a version of Fernando Vargas that was finished
4)Almost lost to a faded Mayorga
5)Lost to Cotto
6)still has a Barry Bonds like basketball head which means he might still be on the roids

Always talks about wanting big fights but somehow never manages to make them.
He's not a bad fighter, but I wouldnt classify him as a great fighter.

Before CLottey as mention to fight Cotto, the fight was offer to Mosley, but he ***** out of it, because it was in NY. That was his first ****** move. Then He diodnt want to fight Berto to wait ofr the big fight, wich he wont get because he cant sell ****. And then he oppenly ducked Williams.

So its all his fault!!!!!!!!!!

shane should be pushing hard for cotto...if i was him that's who i would go for. That way u leave no doubt who the man at ww is and floyd or pacman may come calling.

With that said, manny's handler will never let him get in there with shane. Shane beard is too tough and manny don't have the boxing ability to beat him. If shane is able toland on manny like jmm or like hatton was in 2nd rd....good night pacman.

Floyd would fight him and has the boxing ability to beat him, but i don't think floyd wanted that right out the back after 2 yrs off.

Cuz he's overrated and cant fill a high school gym. Margarito sold out staples not Shane.
Plus he has a steroid induced basketball head.
Plus he almost lost Mayorga and saved himself with a lucky punch.
Not to mention, Cotto already beat him.

Sorry to bother you with annoying facts, but even without that KO Shane wins the decision over Mayorga. So how exactly did he almost lose?

nah. don't pay too much attention to arum. i agree, cotto-pacman is easier to make, but pbf-pacman is HUGE, that's where the money's at.

arum would rather match his guys, AGAINST his guys, instead of playing ball and getting them much bigger fights.....that's why his guys, once they become significant, usually end up leaving him.

I was going to make a thread like this. Ya I do feel sorry for Shane. Hes the only fighter besides Pac who is will to fight anybody really. He called out Margarito after a huge win against Cotto fight and didn't hesitate to say I'm gonna knock Margarito out when everyone else counted him out ( I never count Shane out he has to much heart to get knocked out and his chin is the toughest in the business and fears no one.

He took on the toughest competition when no one else would give them a chance. Forest at the time, and even gave Winky his shot when no one else would. Heck Cotto could have fought Mosley instead of Clottey. That match was so close that it warranted a rematch. Shane will always be dangerous to most opponents even at this stage of his career, people are still waiting for him to get old or catch him at a bad night. Margarito thought he could catch Mosley at a bad night after a terrible performance against Mayorga, but I already knew Shane did not train serious for that fight and was only going for the knock out.

In the end Shane Mosley will be missed and his fighters mentality and willingness to fight the best is what all boxers need. Too many fighters at the top who don't want to give us the best fights and that's why people always say are sport is dying because those cowards who don't fight the best. Pac Man, JMM, and Mosley are fighters that have that NO FEAR attitude and will be missed when their gone.

Shane Mosley suffers from Paul Williamsitis. Aka, no fans, no following, no money. Shane is a great fighter and gets his money, but right now the followings for the other mentioned fighters is huge. They all draw better than Shane. Sad but true.
