Well, Tye Fields and Robert Rodriguez also have lots of knockouts The truth is that Katsidis (While being a ighter who is pleasant to watch at) can`t use that power wisely...

    That would be a WAR!!!

Thread: I think that would be a good fight for Ricky if he wants to come back... And he actually has pretty good chances to win this.

Of course. And so do most fighters in their early career - it's often funny to look at their first 10 or 15 opponents, who've had records like 15-30, 0-9, 40-28 and so on. But it's all on record in the end. Why else would someone as **** as Valero gain so much infamy?

So we can either completely dismiss a fighter's stoppage record, or accept it for what it is, or take great stock in it. The second option would seem the most rational, but I dunno which camp to fall into. Every fighter will have their fair share of bums on their early record.

its gonna be amir khan vs ricky hatton. ricky might fight a manchester cab driver for his comeback fight then claim that he's back & better than ever, more ferocious, better boxer, he learned his lesson blah blah.

& the brits will buy it. Khan vs Hatton wembley 2010.

I wanted to see this fight a long time ago. But I worry for Ricky now against any kind of puncher, that KO would scar anyone for life and his punch resistance seems to have gone since the Tszyu fight. I hope he retires.

Hmm i see something else about this fight, I think Hatton should fight him in aus, think about it, Hatton launched his career by beating a washed up aussie in manchester, Katsidis could launch his by beating a washed up hatton in his home town, poetic justice in a way.

Hatton is going to be washed up, nobody can recover from being knocked out cold like in his last fight.

There's an element of truth to this. Think about Roy Jones Jr getting knocked out very much in the same fashion as Hatton by Glen Johnson and Antonio Tarver. He's never been the same either.

Then, you think about guys like Roberto Duran who got his lights put out with one shot by Tommy Hearns, and the man goes up to Middleweight and beats the champion, a MUCH bigger man and in his prime, in Iran Barkley.

Point is, you never really know how a fighter can handle being KTFO cold and coming back. The truth is the rare great fighters can, but most of everyone else simply can't.

I hope Ricky retires as well. He was a great champ and I loved his ferocious body attack and come forward Bull in a China shop aggression. He lost to two of the best P4P fighters of our era and beat everyone else at 140, was a champ for nearly 5 years, faced all comers, and had the biggest and most loyal fanbase of any fighter not named Manny Pacquiao. Not bad from a blue collar kid from Manchester, one that no one thought would ever get as far as he did, but all credit to Hatton. He was a great fighter, but all champions have their time to hang them up, and I sincerely hope Ricky does.
