    Eddie Chambers vs. Calvin Brock

Are these punch stats accurate? I know that punch stats aren't everything, but... that is a damn big gap in punch stats. I have a hard time seeing that big of a domination only spaced out between 5 rounds that Brock won:

Data Boxing reported the blows as Brock 262/587 45%, Chambers 151/439 34%.

I do remember a lot of people scored this fight for Chambers.

    Anyway, good decision/bad decision?

    Good fight/bad fight?

Anything else anyone wants to add would be appreciated.

I had chambers winning but it was closer than some people made out at the time, Chambers has terrible punch output i have never seen him throw many punches after the 5th or 6th round, I cant see him winning a title.

I thought Chambers clearly outlanded Brock, Brock had his moments but Chambers clearly won the fight IMO. Those punchstats seem off to me.

Yeah i had Chambers winning but i didnt think it was a dominate display as Chambers would often just stop punching, i only watched it once though so i would have to go back and watch it again.

Chambers did go into his shell, it's been a problem with him for quite a while but I didn't see Brock outlanding him.

Thanks for clearing the punch stats up.

I seriously can't imagine someone winning 7 rounds if they got outlanded by 100 punches. If they were able to win 7 rounds, one of the 5 rounds they lost would like end in a TKO because there would be so many punches landing.

Anyway, was this fight any good? Is it worth a watch? Calvin Brock was a character who intrigued me on FNR3 and Chambers has the Winky Wright type of style, so this is a fight that kind of intrigues me. I don't want to waste a ton of time on it if it is a terrible fight though.

It wasn't a terrible fight but if you're looking for action, you won't find it there.

Ever since his loss to Povetkin, Chambers improved in his footwork and punch-output. Someone needs to tell him that he doesn't need to weight 220lbs to be an effective heavyweight.

I would favor Chambers over Vitali, Valuev, and Chagaev. He's currently the best American heavyweight.
