Why would Floyd get overwhelmed? Why didn't JMM get overwhelmed?

One clean counter right should keep him at bay. Mayweather by embarrassment and stoppage.

JMM didn't get overwhelmed because he threw 100 punches per round. Floyd throws like half that. Besides that fight happened a few years back, Pacquiao has improved even if you don't believe it.

You are probably counting Marquez out, but JMM just wiped out LW's best, he's not some clown who just gave Pacquiao problems, he's the p4p no.2 in the world. Don't be suprised if Marquez actually beats Mayweather, he knows if he loses he might not get his trilogy with Pacquiao.

For the record, JMM nearly did get overwhelmed, but he is a warrior and fought back ferociously. One clean counter isn't going to hold off a guy like Pacquiao, it's almost as if you haven't seen the guy fight.

Morales and Marquez couldn't hold him off with one counter, they had to throw 6 punch combinations for 12 rounds to keep him at bay, and he wasn't even that technical back then.

The only way Pac can win is if he hits hard enough to bother Floyd. If Floyd don't respect his power enough to shell up, I think it's over right there. I think Roach's strategy will be to run up the punch stats by trying to establish Pac as a hard hitter right out the gate, force the issue, and try to steal the bout winning 4 or 5 of the first 6 and then snatching 2 or 3 late rounds in a shocker. I don't think Manny is smart enough to deal with Floyd if he breaks the mold of any plan that gets cooked up, so I think trying to out wit him in there is a mistake. They're gonna press.

BUT we still haven't seen Manny get that jaw tested by a fighter this live and at this size yet so he could very well be KO'd.

Pac won't throw nearly that many punches once he's countered flush by Mayweather. You haven't even seen pac take a clean punch at 140. It's a whole new ballgame once you get hit, no? W/e yo want to belive buddy, but I think pac nut huggers will be in a big suprise when the king beats that ass and embarrasses him.
