People can't go crazy over Pacquiao's win against Oscar if he isn't willing to fight at 147.

i think it has to do with roach's confidence knowing Oscar well..............dont think roach "the right approach" feels the same way at cotto at 147.....................

FFSakes... Pacquiao went on record yesterday or the day before that,
saying he was willing to face anyone, at weights up to 147.

It's Roach insisting on some bull**** catchweight of 144 for SSM or Cotto
What's 3 ****ing pounds, except as a way to mess with the opposition.

No proof, but it really isn't a stretch to think Margarito cheated against Cotto, who beat Mosely, who beat a Margarito fair and square after getting caught attempting to cheat.

With no proof against Margs, Shane is the best right now. But I wouldn't argue with anyone who rates Cotto as the top guy at 147.

the question is how much cutting 3-4 lbs. is worth to cotto? this will be his biggest payday.

the money from the oscar fight was worth putting on 12 lbs. for pac and cutting 7 lbs. for oscar.

manny is a 140 fighter now (he really isn't but that's where he's fighting) and cotto is a 147 fighter.

143-144 is in between. it seems fair enough. the higher pac goes up is a disadvantage to him. the lower cotto goes is a disadvantage for him.

in the end it's up to pac's handlers to decide what weight it's gonna be at. it's up to cotto to agree or not (which he will. he ain't turning down that kind of money)

Great argument, except for Cotto being the best. I think another fight with Mosley should settle this.

You know Manny would fight Cotto at 147, he doesn't fear anyone. I'm afraid Roach and Arum thinks otherwise and wouldn't want to jeopardize their current cash cow. Cotto would be a tough and dangerous fight for Manny.

That'll be up for the california legal system to decide whether Margarito's a cheater.

I have no problem with Pacquiao fighting either or Mosley at welterweight. Just saying given the circumstances you would need a Mosley-Cotto 2 to determine undeniably who's the best welterweight.
