In the end, Mayweather gave respect to Hatton/ Zab/ Corrales/ JLC...name em! Same can't be said about B-Hop/ Taylor/ Calzaghe, B-Hop is my number 1 guy but even I could see thatComment

Why care about a persons attitude?.
A mean attitude matches the sport of boxing, sincere spiritual men almost never fight barbarically with their fists for to make a living.
Is Mayweather jr hurting you personally? because you all seem to take it so personal that one might think that he ****d your sister and mother while having you tide up in a chair looking.Comment

If you choose your favourite boxers purely on talent, then there is no way you cannot like Floyd.
If you base your feelings on talent AND things like attitude, behaviour, personality, then I don't know how you can actually like him. I find him to be an absolute prick, and because he plays up to it so often, it's hard to disassociate it from him.
I think he's a bit thick too, which is why his smack talking makes me cringe sometimes. Whereas someone like Haye is self-deprecating, witty, fresh, etc. Floyd is like a little boy throwing insults in the playground.
The crass materialism and obsession with money is grating too. Sorry, don't care if you're from the ****** and were dirt poor, flaunting your money is nauseating, not least for the fans who pay for that ****. I honestly don't know how his fans tolerate that.
As a fighter, I think he's magnificent, and I'd pick him to beat JMM/Pac/Cotto. But I want them all to beat him.
I do think Floyd went the wrong way, and cultivated the wrong image. I mean, the guy could beat anyone out there and is as talented as they come. And yet, Manny Pac is the one who everyone loves now.
I think that is going to really annoy him.
It's his own fault.Comment

its because he plays the foil, the villain, says a whole lot of sht to sell the fight. it's no different than david haye showing up wearing a t-shirt showing the klitchskos decaptitated. I bet if Floyd had done that, with a t-shirt showing a decapitated Ricky hatton, the haters would have had a field day whining about it.Comment

I've always been a big fan of Floyd Mayweather, Jr. I love his technical skills, his defense, ability to box and move, counter punch, and everything else that he has that makes him a complete fighter. He's undoubtedly one of the best fighters of this generation, and has an a great boxing brain.
But the more I've been thinking about it lately, I just cannot stand the thug, bad boy image that he tries to portray. When you see him doing interviews sometimes, he presents himself as very well mannered and nice, like when he went to the doctor's office in the 24/7 with Oscar. But then he comes to the Marquez press conference just acting like a disrespectful little ****, and it completely gives you a different opinion of him all together.
Marquez and Pacquiao both are very respectful guys who take care of their business in the ring and let their performances speak for themselves. And as great of a fighter as Floyd is, I don't think I can root for him against either man, especially Manny, simply because of his attitude. It's a shame, too, he could have been even bigger than De La Hoya in terms of drawing power were he a much nicer person, as Arum has said numerous times. He would have been the new, if not improved, Sugar Ray Leonard.
It's too bad, really...Comment

Boo ****ing hoo. Seriously. "I can't pull for him to win a fight inside the ring, because he's a meanie head outside the ring." For a bunch of fight fans, some of you are as sensitive as a little girl.Comment
