U.S. have been spoiled by the likes of Ali, Tyson, Leonard, Hagler, etc. There just hasn't been any comparable fighters to them. It is not to say the U.S. has lost any quality just excitement. Mayweather is a great fighter just that he does not bring the adrenaline that the past fighters have brought. Either he is just really a boring fighter or he has been too good for his competition and hasn't met the fighter who will define him. If Mayweather beats Manny Pac, you will see American boxing back in the spotlight. Won't happen though.hehehe.

24/7 and Espn have headlined boxing lately. The sports page on L.A. times may 2nd was headlined by the Pac/hatton fight. Boxing is getting attention. Manny Pac/Mayweather would be a super mega event with Hollywood and the Media all over it. Whomever wins that becomes bigger than ever. If mayweather wins he will be a an American boxing hero.

I know for fact that Filipinos love boxing as long as I can remember when I used live there they used to have a boxing channel, new matches every week. Boxing is like the 2nd favorite sport over there 1st is Basketball.
